If your students ever question the power they have to impact the world around them, point them in the direction of the Youth Advisory Council for World Ocean Day!

These 25 teen activists help spread awareness about the problems facing our world’s oceans and are helping to advance the goal of protecting at least 30% of our planet's lands, waters, and ocean by 2030.

Officially recognized by the United Nations in 2008, World Ocean Day is celebrated every year on June 8th with the goal of increasing protection for Earth’s oceans, which take up 70% of our planet’s surface and generate 70% of the oxygen we breathe!

With these Edpuzzle Original video lessons, your elementary students can discover the world of water and the incredible life forms that live in our oceans.
