7 Ways to Use Edpuzzle Live Mode

With Edpuzzle's Live Mode, you can project a video lesson for your whole class while students answer in real time on their own devices.

How can you use Live Mode with your students?

1. Watch a Read-Aloud

Check student understanding as you circle the room during the reading. Read-alouds work great for younger students who are just learning to read, but also for advanced readers. For high school and higher education, you can use a read-aloud from a section of a text you’re working on to spark class discussion!

2. Experience a Poetry Reading

Practice prediction of terminology, and analyze the use of language and imagery. After all, how can your day not be a little better without a dose of poetry?

3. Go On a Virtual Field Trip

Use a 360° video and focus on certain elements for a class conversation. Creating a virtual field trip is easier than you think, and the possibilities are endless! From the Great Wall of China to the International Space Station, you can take your students on unforgettable journeys without leaving the classroom.

4. Review a Video Lesson Students Completed for Homework

Check in with your class if there were low scores or if students had questions. This is the perfect way to go beyond the simple completion check and dig in to student questions.

5. Showcase Student Work

Ask students to give feedback on drafts or final projects. This takes the concept of peer reviewing to a whole new level!

6. Observe a Science Experiment

Practice making predictions and evaluate the results. Using Live Mode for science experiments and labs is also a fantastic way to emphasize lab safety procedures and rules.

7. Go Over the Class Syllabus

Introduce students or parents to the policies and procedures of your classroom. If parents have questions about Edpuzzle and video learning, back-to-school night is a great time to introduce them through Live Mode!
